Whatever Happened to GenX?

They are leading, buying and keeping things together.

This group is always ignored by marketers because it’s the smallest cohort (65M people in the US) wedged between two goliath generations – Boomers (72M people in the US) and Millennials (also 72M people). Also it’s not the rebellious, ironic group it was during its youth…. people in this generation are now between 41 and 56 years old. They are the parents of Millennials and Gen Z with lots of responsibilities. They are the first generation that extolled the virtues of work-life balance and learned the value of independence early because they had minimal adult supervision (Boomer parents were both working). Time to give this generation some love and not squeeze them into a Boomer or Millennial cohort. Afterall, Barack and Beyoncé are Xers!!!!!

What generation are you?
