Belgium Chocolate Flavored Stamps

No, really. In Belgium, they are releasing a set of stamps when licked taste like chocolate.

"The five new stamps have chocolate in all its forms: granules, pralines, chocolate spread, lumps or sticks. Tony Le Duc photographer gourmet and Kathleen Miller, a graphic artist, was responsible for the design of stamps and sheet.

Taste chocolate was incorporated in the gummed stamps in the form of essential oils, cocoa so it releases when the licks. The stamps are also a chocolate aroma, which rises from the ink to which a flavoring has been added. This is not the first time a postage stamp is issued fragrant, but this scent is now combined with taste, absolute premiere."

The stamps will be issued on March 25th.

American Style Cookies...huh?

Dawn Foods is an international baking supply company started in Jackson, Michigan. They now supply baked goods around the world. And recently we hear that they are launching an "American style cookie" for the UK market (via FDIN).

I wondered...what makes a cookie "American style".

Marketing manager of Dawn, Jacqui Passmore, said:

“Our new American style cookie ranges are a real ‘taste sensation’"

Flavors include Triple Belgian Chocolate Chunk, Belgian Chocolate Chunk, Belgian White Chocolate Chunk, Cranberry and Belgian White Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal and Raisin.

What makes these "American"? They don't seem like American classics to me.

Hmm...So, are "American style" cookies richer, more indulgent, chunkier and tastier? But hey, if that's "American", I'm okay with that. I feel bad for other countries and their cookies!

What do you think "American style" is in the cookie category? Let us know here or via twitter @brandeffervesce

(Maybe they have to have at least 10g of fat and 1000 calories per cookie?)
