This year there are more gift options than ever for the foodie friend that has tasted it all. How about having them do it themselves! Check out a few of our favorites.
Beer Making Kit by Brooklyn Brew Shop, Chocolate Maple Porter
Everything you need is right here. It's a bit like a science kit, but the outcome might be a lot more fun and tasty. This ain't no moonshine!
Available at Anthropolgie for $40.
KBBK Kombucha HomeBrew Kit
There is a love/hate relationship with kombucha even amongst foodies. Kombucha is actually fermented tea that is more of a health drink than a thirst quencher. It's known to be one of the best drink s to help detoxify your body...but that depends on how desperate you are to detox. You can add flavors to mask the slightly vinegar-esque taste. This kit is great for experimenting with flavors once you've fermented the tea. Drink to your health!
Available at Kombucha Brooklyn for $49.95
Mama O's Premium Homemade Kimchi Kit
This one is dear to me as it's made by my friend Kheedim Oh. He was shlepping his mom's kimchi from VA to NYC a few times a year and sharing the delicious goodness with friends. He saw an opportunity and went back to Mama and learned the art of traditional Korean kimchi making and brought it to NY. Along with a whole range of different kimchi products, his newest is a kimchi kit. He's spreading the love and knowledge of how to make kimchi!
Available at Whole Foods in NY, NJ and CT. For details check the FB page.
